'Flying Start' is a Welsh Asembly Government Initiative that aims to give a better start in life for children aged 0-3years. The project ains to support families by providing Child Care, Parenting Skills, Health Visiting, Basic Skills and Information.

Flying Start at Pembroke Dock Community School

Flying Start is a playgroup for two year olds living in our catchment area. Children can attend for up to five half day sessions each week. The staff, led by Carol Mansell, offer a caring environment where children are provided with a range of stimulating experiences which support their social development as well as their speech and language skills. 
The school also runs a Parent and Toddler group every Monday afternoon where prospective parents and children for Flying Start can come to meet staff and get to know the setting in a relaxed and informal way.
