Dockleaf Child Care Training
Working in Partnership with Communities First and the Co-operative Group.

We provide child care training courses, on a part time basis for local adults, free of charge. These training courses lead to NVQ Child Care Qualifications at Level 2 and Level 3 and some adults have, subsequently, taken training to higher educational levels.

40 local adults have undertaken training over the last few years; 31 have secured full time josbs in child care support; 8 have gone on to achieve senior support staff qualifications and 1 person is undertaking a teacher training course.

We are looking to further develop our training schemes with qualifications in outdoor curriculum work.

We are supported by the Welsh Assembly Government's Communities First initiative.
