Instrumental Music Lessons
Pembroke Dock Community School offers instrumental tuition from visiting specialist instrumental teachers from Pembrokeshire’s Music Service. A wide variety of orchestral instruments are available:
After a musical aptitude assessment and instrumental suitability trial by the instrumental teachers, at year 4, pupils are selected – subject to the availability of instruments.
There are no charges for the instrumental lessons, but parents will need to purchase the required music and the fee for ‘Associated Board Schools of Music’ and ‘Guild Hall’ graded examinations. Instruments, with the exception of drum kit, will be loaned to pupils free of charge.
Pupils are expected to show commitment by bringing their instrument and music to school and practicing regularly for each lesson.
