Pembroke Dock Community School is proud of its reputation in our local area and we are keen to assist you with any query you may have. A copy of the school prospectus is available from the school's reception area, along with a number of informative brochures about different aspects of school life.
In case of an emergency, or if a child becomes unwell, we follow a strict procedure. Once a child has been registered with the school as a pupil, we ask all parents to complete our Emergency Contact Form. This gives us an additional two contact numbers if we need to get in touch with you. We will always try and contact you, if we feel there is a need to do so.
The school has a number of qualified staff who can administer first aid. All grazes are dealt with by supervising adults while head injuries and other concerns are referred to a First Aider. Portable First Aid cases are maintained at vantage points throughout the school. These cases are also taken off site or outdoors when required.
Should there be a need for specialist aid, your child is taken to the Accident Unit at South Pembrokeshire Hospital or Withybush Hospital, or an ambulance is called. A senior member of staff would accompany your child and you would be contacted by the school.
You are informed by telephone, letter or in person depending on the injury, about all head bumps.
