The ‘Dockleaf’ project works closely with the ‘Springboard’ initiative.

Springboard offers informal learning opportunities to re engage individuals in education and in community life. It offers activities to build confidence and self esteem, offers progressive learning pathways, careers advice and guidance and support for individuals in their return to education and training. Individuals are given the chance to develop their skills through a range of activities, in a supportive environment at local venues.

To date Springboard has engaged 315 individuals who have enrolled 738 times on 95 different activities including Basic Skills, cooking, computing and Welsh.

‘Dockleaf’ also works with family Literacy training and Basis Skills training.

The 'Springboard' project works in close partnership with Pembroke Dock Community School, supporting NVQ training. For more information on this click the link below.

All courses are free of charge with a free creche facility often available.

Driving theory practice: at St. John’s Community Hall Gallery IT Suite, 9.30am-10.30am, begins January 8th, 2008

Wednesday

Level 2 Food Safety in Catering: at Pembroke Dock Youth Centre, 9.15am-11.15am then 1pm-3pm

Thursday

‘Let’s Get Cooking’: at Pembroke Dock Youth Centre 9.30am-11.30am
New Clait IT: at Pembroke Dock Community School, 9.30am-11.30am
‘Money go Round’: at Pembroke Dock Community School, 9.15am-11.15am (parents and children) 1pm-3pm (parents only).
All courses begin on January 10th, 2008

Friday

Developing Computer Skills: at Pembroke Dock Yo-Yo Centre 10am-12 noon
